- Black pudding - English - pig's blood, lard, and cereal (oatmeal or barley)
- Drisheen - Ireland - same as above, but using the blood of the lamb
- Boudin noir - France - pig's blood, lard, bread flour, brandy or calvados (liquor), and cream.
- Morcilla - Spain - pig's blood, lard, paprika, rice, sherry, and sometimes raisins.
- Blutwurst - Germany - Blood pork, diced bacon, and pork.
